GeoCompas continuously improves OpenStreetMap by fixing errors and adding data using open data sources.
History
GeoCompas grew out of Development Seed, which started in Ayacucho in 2003. DevSeed spinoff Mapbox maintained a dedicated data team in Ayacucho from 2015 to 2018, when the team was transferred back to DevSeed. [1][2] In 2024, the team became an independent company, GeoCompas. [3]
